Today, students at University Teknologi Mara (UiTM) had a unique opportunity to dive into the art and technique of photography, thanks to an inspiring PhotoTalks session organized by the Sarawak Photo-Art Society. This event not only introduced students to the vibrant activities and resources offered by the society but also provided hands-on tips and tricks to enhance their photography skills.

The session was led by none other than Kelvin Chan, an internationally acclaimed photographer and the president of the Sarawak Photo-Art Society. Known for his dynamic approach and artistic flair, Kelvin has earned a reputation in the photography world for his captivating work and numerous accolades. His passion for empowering young photographers shone through as he shared insights, inspiring students to see photography as both an art form and a powerful tool for storytelling.

The society's outreach through these PhotoTalks aims to foster a supportive community for budding photographers in Malaysia, encouraging them to hone their skills, explore creative expression, and even consider photography as a potential career path. Students left the session feeling inspired and equipped to take their photography to new heights, and many expressed interest in joining Sarawak Photo-Art Society’s future initiatives.

With support from Canon Malaysia, Great Wall Camera, and Onsmo, students also had the unique chance to test out top-quality camera gear, exploring new angles and techniques firsthand. From technical tips to artistic perspectives, Kelvin shared strategies and experience that motivated budding photographers to capture and create with confidence.

For those who missed out, the Sarawak Photo-Art Society has plans for more PhotoTalks sessions at various universities, hoping to reach an even broader audience of young photographers ready to make their mark.
